The last couple of night have sounded like I was living in a war zone. The explosions from illegal fireworks have rang throughout Tracy this Fourth of July holiday season. I was glad to see the holiday wind down and get the nightly booms over with. But I had one little assignment to cover before I'd get my peace and quiet, the annual city sponsored fireworks show at Tracy High.
It was also a little bit of history, the last event to be held at Tracy High's Wayne Schneider Stadium before demolition teams tear the stadium down and begin a 13-month project to build a new one. It seems fitting that after so much history the stadium should go out with a bang.
