
I stumbled across these two turkey vultures hanging out along Schulte Road as they waited for a seat at the Road Kill Cafe.



I don't think there are too many birds that are as butt-ugly as turkey vultures. They just look sinister staring at you with that bald head and red beak. Gives me the creeps.

whenever i happen upon vultures, i feel lucky. i had been after pics of them for years when i came upon 5 in a field along corral hollow. (from a safe distance) i shot pics. i returned to the scene the next day to find them gone. 2 days later i drove by & photographed 4. these pictures became a birthday card. vultures are very 'age' appropriate.
