I was covering the July 4th parade in Tracy when I saw something a little odd. Heading down Holly Drive following a line of classic cars was a Hummer. Not that is unusual by itself as there a a few driving around town. What was odd was what was on top, a giant tarantula.

So the giant tarantula is heading down the road and I notice some other odd things, like a demented clown(isn't that redundant?)hanging out a window. No this was not your typical flag-encrusted, political ad float. This was interesting.

As it turns out it was a preview of a haunted house heading to the Grand Theatre this Halloween season. Hopefully it will be filled with things like vampires and ghouls and other monsters. Hold the clowns, I don't want it to be too scary.
