It fire season and the winter months have left a bumper crop of fuels in the hills surrounding Tracy. the grass is dry and the winds are high spelling the potential for trouble.
Tracy Fire wrapped up it's annual wildlands fire training today. Crew rotated through a series of burns in a field off tracy Boulevard and the grassy areas surrounding the Tracy Airport runways. The thick grass made for good flames and lots of smoke as it obscured the runways pushed along by the winds.
