Photographing the July 4th balloon launch at Lincoln Park this morning I stumbled across this scene. This is the shadow of one of the pilots preparing his balloon for the morning flight. I was kneeling behind the gondola basket shooting with my 70-200mm zoom. The pilot is on the opposite side of the balloon as he cast a shadow on the top of the balloon canopy while it is inflating on the ground. A luck case of back lighting and bright green balloon gave me this different view of the morning's launch.
