There was a whole lot of hype surrounding President Barack Obama's speech to students that was broadcast live across the internet. Rumors of brainwashing and hidden agendas filled the air long before the President stepped up to podium.
I was assigned to cover a class at Kimball high as they watched the speech in a world history class. Aside from the computer carrying the speech locking up once the speech was uneventful. It was just your everyday "stay in school and try hard" talk you might hear from a parent or school counselor. Considering the hype and controversy around the speech I felt cheated.
