Almost forgotten in the Friday end of the week rush, start of the high school football season and the eve of the Bean Festival was Friday's date. September 11th. It has been several years since that tragic day and and as the time passes we push those terrible events farther away from our memory. The city didn't have any official remembrance events but I was happy to see the sports teams hadn't forgotten. Before kickoff of the varsity game at West High a moment of silence was observed capped with senior Tanner Elson leading the Wolfpack onto the field with the American flag.
