Hiking on Mount Diablo I found these dead trees on the side of the North Peak Trail. Now I am a die hard color photographer, I paid my dues to the world of black and white but when I saw this stark white trunk sitting on the ground almost like a ghost I knew I had to shoot it in black and white.
I guess those photo skills from my hiking partner Alice DeLaurier O’Neil are starting to rub off on me.
